Brown Sugar Milk Scones 黑糖牛奶司康

Yeild: 8-10 scones

Ingredients

  1. 200g of all-purpose flour

  2. 10g of baking powder

  3. 20g of brown sugar

  4. 2g of salt

  5. 80g of cold butter

  6. 100g of brown sugar milk

To make brown sugar milk, mixing 30g of brown sugar and 130g of milk then heating in a pot until the sugar is dissolving in the milk. Let it cool down then place in the fridge for 30 mins before making scones.

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, and brown sugar in a big bowl then mix it all well.

  2. Chop the cold butter then place it in the flour mixture.

  3. Mix step 1 and 2 ingredients well then pour in cold brown sugar milk.

  4. Stir all ingredients well with a spatula.

  5. Place the batter on a plastic wrap then roll the batter to 3cm thickness

  6. Put the wrapped batter in the freezer for around 3 hours ( I took it out for 2.5 hours and it's still okay)

  7. Preheat the oven to 180C for 15 mins.

  8. Cut the scones into the shapes you like then place in the baking tray.

  9. Bake the scones for 18-20mins until the surface is golden brown.
