Bo Lo Bao Cookies 菠蘿包餅乾

Looking at the photo you might think that Isn‘t it Bo Lo Bao ? Nah, these are cookies for real. I just made it looks like Baos, and the texture is nothing like Baos.


Last time I tried to make real bo lo bao and I failed it. I took so much times but it didn’t come out right even though the taste was okay. So this time I decide that I’m not gonna take so much times to bake. I’m just gonna make something quick and easy. So this is it ! Perfect cover up of real bo lo bao.


This cookies is not so soft or so hard to bite, it’s just crispy outside and soft inside. And it’s easy to break off so don’t worry that kids might choke on it while eating.


Let’s get started :


Ingridients食材

  • 150g of cake flour 低筋麵粉

  • 20g of sugar 糖

  • 7g of baking powder 泡打粉

  • 30g of unsalted butter 無鹽奶油

  • 1 egg 雞蛋

  • Milk 牛奶


Instructions步驟

  1. Mix all ingredients in one bowl except milk. 將除了牛奶以外的食材都混在均勻在一個碗中

  2. If the dough is too dry then add a bit of milk so the dough can be formed together. 如果麵糰太乾可以加一點點的牛奶,直到麵糰可以結成球,但又不會黏手

  3. Divid the dough into small ball then use a dough cutter to cut the surface of each dough like Bo Lo Bao. 把麵糰分成小塊搓成圓狀後,用刮刀在小麵糰表面劃上像菠蘿包的格紋,要壓深一點因為烤過麵糰會膨脹,壓混太淺會不明顯

  4. Bake the cookies with 170C for 10-15 mins then switch to 180C for maximum 3 mins for making cookies surface golden brown. 烤箱設定170度烤10-15分鐘,最後設180度,最長3分鐘的將餅乾表面烤到金黃

  5. Let it cool down before serving. 放涼後就可以食用
